Brown Notes

For those of you who prefer a 'fuller' charm bracelet, here's one with more beads in between. It looks like the bird park bracelet, but this one has amber glass bicones filling up the spaces between the pretty charms and the brown glass beads. Although it's fuller, I try to keep it simple so that the beauty of the charms are not overshadowed and blocked by too many beads.

Do you have any cause that you strongly support? It could be cancer awareness or music. Or something that you love and believe in.. like ballet or cycling or God? Show what you love through metal charms!

Personally, I adore flowers a lot. Whether they are real, live ones or pretty swirly floral motifs on a blouse, I absolutely love them! So.. when I was beadhunting in KL last Saturday with a friend, I spotted a packet of these flower charms waaay above my head and I practically squealed. They are very very funky and pretty!

I went home and created this simple piece, and I thought it looked very pretty. So I took out other charms I possess and started turning them into handphone charms too! I created one with a swan charm and others with different butterfly charms.

If you would like to customize using a different colour scheme and different charm, do let me know. :) I used blue because that's the only colour I have for now! Haha!

Blue Green

Blue green is my fave colour! I spent the rainy afternoon resisting the urge to visit Petaling Street and created beaded designs in shades of green. The following earrings are considered limited editions. Once they're sold out, they're gone! Because, the glass beads used are actually dismantled from a long chain which I bought from a Nepalese pedlar. Once he sells all of the long green chains, he might not bring in any new ones already. :(

Brief Update

In these two months, I've been visiting Central Market rather frequently after work to buy beads and jewellery-making stuff. My friends were horrified that I was visiting Petaling Street all by myself. Hehe. I'm quite used to it already, and I like it. To protect myself from robbers, rapists or kidnappers, I never bring a handbag there. Instead, I carry my sister's quite tattered sling bag and put on the fiercest face I could! ;D

Last week, I've uploaded pictures of my handmade jewellery to my Picasa, and maybe some of you may have feasted your eyes upon them. :) The trouble is, I have put wrong prices of the items there, and will amend them now. I'm sorry if I have caused any inconvenience. =s

However, if you have placed your orders before I amended the prices, you don't have to follow the current price, as that would be unfair to you.
